E-2B Hawkeye

Last year the museum decided to relocate the E-2B to a more suitable spot on the property.

We attempted to move the E-2B in March 2018, but the ground was so saturated that the aircraft’s left main landing gear sunk into the mud. Getting the 30,000 lb. aircraft free again would take some work. Charlie A. reached out to the community for some assistance.

Thankfully, Hainesport Enterprises came to the museum’s rescue with a crane to lift the E-2 out of the mud. What a hectic day!
Our second attempt to move the E-2B proved successful. It was relocated in August 2019 to the front lawn and awaits cleaning, repairing, and painting.
